Who is winning each trade in your city this year.

What it does

Ranks the companies pulling the most permits in a city, split by trade, from the permit records the city itself publishes. It counts permits, not revenue or reputation, because permits are the part that is a matter of public record.

How to use it

1. Open your city in the dashboard and find the rankings panel.
2. Pick a trade to rank within, or leave it on all trades.
3. Click a company to see the permits behind its rank.

Who it is for

Suppliers and subcontractors deciding who to call, and anyone sizing up who actually holds a market.

Where it works

A ranking needs contractor names, and some city feeds do not publish them. Where a feed does not, the city says so plainly instead of showing an empty leaderboard. The coverage page lists which cities carry names.
