Market Signals

New entrants, momentum, and who holds this market.

What it does

Three readings of a market at once: who is new, who is speeding up or slowing down, and how concentrated the work is among a few firms.

How to use it

  1. Open your city and find the market signals panel.
  2. Read the entrant, momentum and concentration lines.
  3. Follow any company named through to its permits.

Who it is for

Anyone deciding whether a market is worth entering, or whether their own position in it is moving.

Where it works

Concentration and entrants both need contractor names. Momentum needs enough weeks of history to compare against. A city short of either shows the readings it can support and says nothing about the ones it cannot.
